Install the software just once using either license key. Save the second key to install the software on another computer — or on the same computer after the first trial expires.

What if I am taking a QuickBooks course and a Payroll course in different semesters? Install the software initially using either license key. If the trial expires before both classes end, uninstall the expired trial and then reinstall using the other key. Remember: For best results, uninstall and then reinstall!

After 4 attempts to get past this ridiculous screen, I decided to download Google Chrome. After installing Chrome, I tried getting the update again.

Once again, I was told I was using an outdated browser. By now I am hopping mad. I then got smart and contacted help, online chat, with Quick Books. After establishing my identity, I provided my license number and the product ID number of the software I was trying to install from Amazon. Once I furnished that, I was directed to a Quickbooks software download site.

I clicked on the link and I was directed to another site where I answered a few questions. Once I finished this, my download started flawlessly. Tomorrow I have to download another Quickbooks upgrade copy to install on a work computer. I am not ordering it from Amazon. Amazon should check the upgrade before they sell it! I have used QuickBooks since , in large part because our accountants use the program.

I am unhappy with this upgrade, and with the software in general, for a number of reasons: 1 Mandatory updates. About three months ago, the program began displaying notices that online downloads would be removed at the end of May. In order to retain this feature, it was necessary to purchase an upgrade. Moreover, it will be equally necessary for my accountant to upgrade, in order for my file to be shared. I was perfectly happy with the features I had earlier.

The only benefit of this upgrade is not to me but rather to Intuit, which generates revenue from these otherwise unnecessary purchases. In order to register and use the software, I was required to provide answers to irrelevant mandatory questions about our business, such as “number of employees. There was no option to opt out, and it was impossible to continue without agreeing to this. On first use, software was unable to open my company file.

In order to access my data, I had to download another program, Quickbooks File Doctor, which apparently is no longer resident in this updated version of the main program. The first download of that program did not function properly so I had to remove it and re-install from a second download. It then took close to an hour for my file to be “repaired. For example, the “Find” and “Sort” functions are cumbersome and complicated. Another example: It’s possible to view “All” customers in some interfaces, but only “Active” customers in others — causing me more than once to make accidental duplicate entries which are then difficult if not impossible to combine or delete.

I would be more receptive to many of these problems if Intuit would truly upgrade the software with an eye to the underlying architecture. Instead, each upgrade seems to be not much more than new layers of shaky features and irrelevant decorations, at the expense of our time, money and ease of use. We customers deserve better. Upgraded from to because isn’t compatible with Windows 10 ironically, did work on Windows 10 until after a MS update.

Ended up spending over 4 hours talking and chatting with support during a two week period getting the complex passwords updated on our two databases because of a bug in the software that didn’t allow me to login.

The bug required me to send both databases to the support team to “fix” and return. Still can’t change the password, but at least I can login. This would seem to be a pretty obvious bug that should have surfaced during testing. Otherwise, the application itself works well. I had major problems upgrading my company file from my old Quickbooks Pro This is a known issue when updating from an “out-of-date” version. The procedure is to download day trial versions of this product from the Intuit website, install each incremental version, and update your company file in order of oldest to newest in incremental steps until this version can read and upgrade your company file.

Once updated, your company file is not compatible with prior versions. Luckily, the Intuit Quickbooks forum members were knowledgeable better the official Tech Support and helpful. Eventually, I got my company file updated. It runs under Windows 10, which is the only reason I upgraded. One person found this helpful. This product was recommended to me, however, after I purchased it and attempted to use it, it was very clear it was not going to work for me.

I contacted QB direct for a refund and had several things happen. First, they did their best to sell me additional software to go with this product to make it work.

Then was told I could get a refund within business days. Refund never showed, called again, was told I was given incorrect information, it was business days.

No refund. Called a third time, was on the phone over an hour on hold mostly and was finally told that it would take up to 30 days to get my refund and that they were seriously apologetic for all of the misinformation I was given! Needless to say, about 6 weeks went by before I received my refund. I really don’t know why Intuit lets their Flagship keep sinking.
